What has to happen, step by step

After a death, the list of things to be done looks impossibly long. The sequence below is the full set of procedures we take on after a single phone call. The family does not have to follow any of them alone.

  1. Transfer to the mortuary

    We collect the deceased from wherever they are — home, hospital or the scene — and take them to the mortuary.

  2. Forensic procedures

    Where the death requires a forensic examination, we follow that process through.

  3. Doctor's report

    We obtain the death certificate and medical report needed for burial and transport.

  4. Ritual washing

    We arrange for the body to be washed according to religious practice at the mortuary.

  5. Shrouding

    The body is shrouded. We supply the shroud if you need us to.

  6. Coffin and green cover

    The body is placed in the coffin and the green cover is laid over it.

  7. Municipal formalities

    We complete the municipality’s funeral registration and permit procedures.

  8. Remaining paperwork

    We prepare every other document required for transport and burial.

  9. Religious rites

    We organise the funeral prayer and the other religious observances.

  10. Family customs

    If the family observes particular customs, we make sure they are carried out.

  11. Transport

    We carry the deceased by road or by air to the place of burial.

  12. Burial

    We complete the burial itself.

If the burial is in another province

We can collect from Burdur and travel to any province in Türkiye. Transport is in our refrigerated funeral vehicles, whatever the distance.

If the burial is abroad

For repatriation by air we handle the documents, the coffin and the airport formalities. The papers a consulate asks for vary by country, so knowing the destination country and city when you call lets us tell you straight away what will be needed.
